This is what progress is all about, apparently, but we’re unsure if Milkshake XXXtreme is a progression or regression of NetEnt’s XXXtreme series. One thing is for sure, it’s far less “extreme” than the original Starburst XXXtreme.

The name of the game is Milkshake Multipliers up to x100, and you can get up to 4 in a single Avalanche sequence. Alternatively, the Color Booster replaces the milkshakes with a Rainbow Milkshake, and these collect points from all scatter wins. The number of points and the multiplier is not changed by the color booster, however.
TheXXXtreme Spins featureis basically a feature buy option that’s available in some jurisdictions, but not in the UK for sure. It gives eligible players2 optionsas follows:
First of all, what NetEnt is proving with this release is that their XXXtreme series, if we can call it that yet, is not gonna be very consistent. Starburst XXXtreme was indeed a very extreme release in all regards, but the only “extreme” thing you get here is no bonus round and the option of paying for rather expensive enhanced spins. Visually, the milkshake theme will probably make your mouth water, and it’s a tad more original than yet another candyland release.
The lack of a bonus round will probably be a dealbreaker for some players though, but avalanche scatter wins that build milkshake multipliers is kind of entertaining overall. Closing in on the 7,100x potential will take one heck of a cascading sequence though, but anything can happen if you get the multiplier booster. The rainbow milkshake is helpful as well, but it’s too bad that not all players will be able to partake in the XXXtreme part of this release. We would’ve preferred if the potential was more extreme to be honest, but it is what it is.
