Narcos NetEnt

The long-awaited Narcos slot is finally here, and it comes jam packed with flying bullets and action all the way. This branded title was launched by NetEnt May 23rd 2019, and we don’t think fans of the legendary NetFlix show will be disappointed. The visuals are amazing, and NetEnt have chosen a semi-realistic style that reminds us for Grand Theft Auto.
Narcos slot comes with 5 reels, 3 rows and 243 ways to win, and you can bet as low as 20p or as high as £400. The game is available across all devices and platforms, and look out for the random Drive-by feature in which a cartel thug fires a hail of bullets towards the reels to turn symbols into wilds. There is also a nice free spins feature with walking wilds.
The RTP on Narcos is a pretty average 96.23%, and this leaves us with a House edge of 3.77%. You can also note that this is a medium volatility game, and therefore more of an allrounder than anything else. The potential is not huge, but you can still win some decent payouts once in a while here. It’s a game aimed at fans, but anyone should be able to have a good time with it.
As you can imagine, the reels are filled with symbols related to the famous Netflix show, and the 2 DEA Agents are the highest value symbols. You need between 3 to 5 matching symbols on a payline to win:
Narcos comes with 2 different bonus features, as well as a free spins feature. The most visually engaging is perhaps the Drive-By feature which will happen at random times during the base game. You’ll see a car pull up and a cartel member will fire wildly at the reels, and all high value symbols struck by the bullets can turn into wilds.
When you land at least 3 Locked Up symbols you’ll trigger the Locked Up feature. This gives you 3 re-spins, and only Locked Up or Golden Locked Up symbols can now appear. Golden Locked Up symbols can give you 3 different benefits:
Every time a new symbol is added to the winning cluster, you start afresh with 3 re-spins again.
Free spins in Narcos
The free spins feature on Narcos is triggered when you land at least 3 car scatters on reel 1, 3 and 5 at the same time. You’ll then receive 10 free spins, and on every spin you can benefit from 1 or more high value symbols transforming into wilds. There is also a Walking Wild feature, and if the feature ends before the Walking Wilds are gone from the reels you’ll get new spins until they are gone.
NetEnt is known for paying close attention to detail, and this ability really is on full display in Narcos slot. Also the game interface is full of intricate details you should know about, and we will walk you through everything of relevance here. If you are an experienced punter you can probably skip this part, or at least skim through it. Beginners, however, should read on.
We always start by clicking the small gear icon in the left-hand corner, as this takes you to the game settings. Here you can turn on the Quick spin feature, which we always do, and you can also toggle on/off the game sound and the intro movie. The intro movie is pretty cool to watch, but after you’ve seen it a few times you might wanna load the game quicker by skipping it.
Next up, you can click the small “i” icon in the same area, as this takes you into the Narcos slot paytable. Here you will first be presented with all the symbol values in different combinations of 3 to 5, and you can also read about all the different bonus features this game has to offer here. Also the bet ways info is on display on the last slide, and you can learn even more by clicking the “?” icon to check out the game rules.
You can adjust the volume seamlessly here, and the time has now come to choose your bet level between 1 and 10, as well as the coin value between 0.01 and 2. This gives you a cash bet range between 20p and £400 per spin, which should suit most needs. As always, you can check out the actual valuta bet below the spin button, and bet level 1 and coin value 0.05 gives you a total stake of £1 per spin.
Finally, you can set up the autoplay feature with between 10 and 1,000 autospins, and set win and loss limits via the advanced autoplay settings. You can also set the autoplay feature to stop if you trigger the free spins bonus round. That’s about it, and you are now good and ready to play Narcos slot like a pro. Next up, we’ll talk about where you can do just that.

We don’t really see how NetEnt could have done a better job transforming this hit TV show into a branded slot. The drive-by shooting feature is quite spectacular, and big fans of the series as we are, we were literally chomping at the bit to get started with our 200 spins test run of Narcos.
We set the bet level to £1 per spin, and loaded up the autoplay feature with 250 spins. The base game gave us sporadic wins of some significance, and the drive-by feature was triggered a few times. At most we won 16x in the base game, but the real fun did not start until we triggered the free spins bonus round.
This took us into a completely new scenery, where the police barricaded a night club and readied themselves for a good old fashioned shoot-out. The reels were in the line of fire to say the least, and every time the bullets were flying, we benefited in the form of wild symbols. This landed us one bigger win, and we also got a few extra spins. In the end we won a total of 84.6x our stake here, which was enough for us to break even, and then some.
On our final 100 spins we did not trigger the regular free spins feature, but we got 3 Locked Up symbols (featuring Pablo “El Patron” Escobar himself) on the same row. This triggered the Locked Up feature, where only Locked Up symbols or blanks will land. We added only one more symbol to the triggering cluster, and landed zero golden Lucked Up symbols.
In the end we won 10x our stake, which was a bit disappointing, to say the least. It was more “plomo” than “plata” for us this time around, but we will be back for more for sure. We can only hope your beginner’s luck is better than our was when you take Narcos slot for your first spins.
What is the jackpot (max win)?
You cannot win any progressive or local jackpot on Narcos, but you can still win quite some decent payouts here. Granted, this is a medium variance game, so don’t expect huge payouts. The max win is 1,506 times your stake in the free spins feature, and this amounts to £602,400 if you play with the highest stakes of £400.

You can, of course, also play Narcos slot on both mobile and tablet, and NetEnt Touch makes this game looks great on all platforms. As long as you have your Android device or your iPhone or iPad handy, you can basically play wherever you wish.
Narcos comes with some impressive visual features, and per usual, NetEnt does not disappoint when it comes to soundtrack and graphics. We only wish the potential would have lived up to the firepower this game brings in all other departments. The features are stunning, but what does it matter then you cannot go for the bigger wins. Fans of the show will love this slot either way, but it can perhaps be a bit of a disappointment to more neutral players.
